Thinking of buying a second hand hatchback, WHEN we can freely travel. Whats the best model over here, and what to stay clear of. Many thanks

 

I don’t think you can go far wrong with a Honda Jazz, a great roomy small (????) hatchback that seats 5 comfortably and has a great size loading space while small enough for easy parking.

Previously had  Mazda 2, nice little car, resale not so good.

Next we bought a Toyota Yaris, very impressed with this car.

Toyota in my book are about the best all around mid priced hatchback and have a good dealer network for servicing etc and good resale values. (IMHO)

Had a Mazda 3 for 6 years before I bought the CX30. Great car, never had a problem with it and the 2 liter engine with 6 speed transmission will run rings around most other hatchbacks.
