Yesterday the 42" digital TV, which I use as PC monitor, went to monitor heaven.

 

Started looking online, and found a 45" Sharp digital TV, at 5990 Baht.

 

Since it was weekend, and it had to be delivered from BKK, they estimated delivery would be Wednesday.

 

So I started looking around in the local shops, but nothing similar to be found around that price, and the same TV would be between 7500 and 9000 Baht.

 

When I showed them the online listing, which by the way was available for the same price from multiple online sellers, I always got the answer, yeah but that is online and we are brick and mortar shop with service (read:plenty of jobsworths running around that have to get paid).

 

Of course none of the shops had any customers at all.

 

So I finally found a store which had the same TV at 7499 Baht, and no discount possible ................BUT, they had the same TV in 50" size discounted at 6999 Baht, and on top I got a 100 Baht discount because new shop opening.  Well let's get that one then.

 

When I had paid, I got presented with a brochure which showed that because I had spent this amount of money, I had now the option to buy the 45" model at 5490 Baht.????????

You should have gone with the 55" or the 65" TV.
