Popular Post ThailandRyan
The shock and horror to even began to think that Thailand has corruption within its borders. No way, I will never believe it. Ssshh, we would not want to anger the Government of PM Chan-Ocha that does everything above board, and takes great care of the people without allowing corruption. The Good PM has made it well known that he would stop corruption when he was Legally elected. What, he hasn't, oh shame on him then.

Nefarious, and culturally centric, outfits such as TI are to be challenged greatly. TI, founded by a German ex-World Bank employee, does a good job in drawing attention to corruption which is a major problem in many, probably most, countries. A big part of the problem originates in developed countries - companies offering bribes to secure contracts. This is now a criminal offence in many of these countries although the new laws are not always properly enforced. And then there is policy corruption - corporations buying politicians to get the policies they want. USA a prime offender. And now UK conservatives giving contracts to their donors for work they're not competent or willing to actually do. A long way to go, but at least we've started.

Srikcir
Thailand tied with authoritarian Communist Vietnam is very telling. Same -Same in some ways. Ironically, Thailand improved its Democracy Index for 2019 from hybrid regime to flawed democracy, the same as USA, India and Japan. The Truth is out there and it's not based on perception but reality.
