Driving from Pattaya to Hua Hin

Is it possible to drive a private car from Pattaya to Hua Hin and back once they lift the travel restrictions in Chonburi?

from bangkok to hh yes, from pattaya formally you need permit and possibly isolation at destination.

you can  come back to pattaya anytime, no need for permit or isolation.

 

if you do travel, have some good excuse, just in case (unlikely) case of being stopped.

On googlemaps check for traffic congestion, there might be blockade, so change route

When I went to ekkamai bus station yesterday and asked them if i can take bus to Pattaya. they said yes, no problem. and there was no problem getting back to bangkok after visiting pattaya for 1 day. So what are this talk about "permit" for leaving pattaya?

there is no problem visiting pattaya, but might be problem leaving it.

they might allow tho leave, if coming only for short and with a reason.

I have read a few days ago, that in pattaya terminal they are checking papers before selling ticket. And only very few departures and few passengers
