Road side temperature testing

Featured Replies

Was surprised today when we were stopped  for a road side temperature test, the road was blocked both ways  and every car/bike was being stopped. As soon as the car window was lowered the cop started yelling mask, mask but had already done my temp while the window was on the way down and had started walking off. Must be something organized from the top as it is rare to see cops out during the day/evening except when chasing tea money, anyone else seeing this in their area, we are in Surat Thani, maybe thay are finally taking covid seriously

Only doing temp checks in high risk areas I guess.

Not seen it in Suk but I like to see the police more active to stop travellers from high risk areas before they leave their boarder province.

I experienced this last Spring when I cycled from Chang Rai to Chiang Mai.

Everyone entering CM was diverted to a roadside sala equipped with giggling nurses, so naturally... a jolly time was had by all!

I was sweating profusely, after pedalling 200km, so we were shocked when my temperature was normal!

So whacked was I, I decided to get the bus back next morning; I was first inline for a ticket, but tickets were for Thais only, so I had to pedal back to Chiang Rai.
