Thailand needs to find the infected as early as possible

Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) explained today (Monday) that Thailand is entering phase 2 of the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions.

This week, proactive screening will continue as intensely as it has been over the past fortnight. The number of daily new cases will, hopefully, start to decrease. If the trend goes as expected, the country will see more relaxation of restrictions next week.

Today, Thailand recorded 836 new COVID-19 cases, with 4 imported cases from the United States, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Malaysia. There are 7,027 people receiving treatment, 11 of whom are in a critical condition.

That would involve testing at least a few thousand daily/weekly in every province nationwide and further track and trace testing based on those results.

Simple enough but doesnt seem to be part of their head in the sand strategy!

that can only happen if General NationWide Testing is implemented.... and that will not happen  any time soon

It's like watching a brain in slow motion.

They repeat what they hear from the WHO after taking 5 months, then another 5 months they take action.

My guess, in five months they will actually increase testing.  It depends if they get sidetracked by the latest trinket though...

Test, and ye shall find, and then test again in all provinces.  If Asymptomatic let them quarantine at home with having to check in with nurses daily like in an ASQ, and please Folks if this happens do not be idiots and leave your imposed quarantine until you are cleared.  Food deliveries can be undertaken.  Either that or their will be parks filled up with Tent cities.....

But but testing everyone will cost money, how can we buy submarines & test ............LOL

I get the feeling that the T.A.T. has to approve the number of tests being done and the number of infected being released to the press.

I live in BK so I've been adding up Richard Barrow's numbers every day. He tweets infections discovered proactively by testing and those who are walk-ins. If these figures are to be believed, ~700 cases since December 20. Distance, mask, handwash, folks!
