REUTERS/ Kevin Lamarque WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Joe Biden said that it will be difficult for the United States to reach herd immunity, at least 75% of the population inoculated against the coronavirus, by the end of this summer. "The idea that this can be done and we can get to herd immunity much before the end of next -- this summer, is -- is very difficult," Biden told CBS news in an interview. As of Sunday morning the United States has administered 41,210,937 doses of COVID-19 vaccines and distributed 59,307,800 doses, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. "We call this 'Project Light Speed,' and it's called that for a reason," said Chaz Calitri, Pfizer's vice president for operations for sterile injectables, who runs the company's plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Much more coming on the Bidens' finances by the way, and on other aspects of his behaviour. "Adding to the problems of CDC budget cuts before and during the pandemic and their failure to stockpile PPE was the unwillingness of the federal government to invoke the Defense Production Act to require private companies to manufacture PPE, ventilators, and other critical items needed to treat patients (Devi, 2020). By July 2020, at which time the US already had more COVID-19 cases than any other country in the world, there were still calls from top congressional leaders and healthcare professionals, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the president of the American Medical Association, for the Trump administration to use the Defense Production Act to boost domestic production of PPE (Madara, 2020; Pelosi, 2020; Rosen, 2020a)." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7531934/#s0025title 2 1

Trump and his four years of ignorant , malicious, bigoted, and destructive behavior is still hard, even now, to accept as reality. Please don't ask me to imagine anything more about him except for him behind bars for the rest of his unnatural life; that's just heartless and cruel. Lots of folks are striving to banish him from their daily thoughts and eventually entirely from their memories without the aid of total memory wipes or extensive therapy. His supporters would be prudent to pretend that they never knew his name much less carried his water for years. Why hitch your cart to a fallen black hole? Total medically-induced amnesia may be their optimum recourse. Even that may leave lingering feelings of shame for being conned for so long. Hint, hint. 1 1

Wonder what changed? Trump advocated millions infected with COVID to reach herd immunity. That’s insanity and a death wish. Biden plan is for vaccination to reach herd immunity. That’s sound and base on science. What change is stupidity by Trump and science lead consensus driven initiative by Biden.
