As far as the Trump team lawyers go, as far as I saw, they succeeded in demonstrating that the House impeachment managers provided no direct evidence of guilt but did show that some of the 'evidence' provided was selectively edited or even false. And that was the end of that. 

Of course the video was edited.  It would have taken hundreds if not thousands of hours to show every minute of video taken by every news camera, security camera, and police body camera.  The videos were edited to show events pertinent to the impeachment in context.

Couldn't agree more.

One of the big areas for me would be why The Capitol was so unprepared for the mob. It's obviously not the norm when you look at the response the BLM protestors met when they marched on the Capitol in June where they met by National Guard troops or police equipped with assault rifles, shields, tear gas and battle helmets. In contrasts, Trumps mob where met by a handful of ill-equiped Capitol police and basically walked into the Capitol building, relatively unmolested.

It smacks of something untoward and needs to be investigated thoroughly to find out whether they were asked to stand down in advance.

I agree Johny,  the big difference from the BLM and the Jan 6th attack is something

that I will think about for a long time.  I also put that squarely on Trump, as he knew

the difference.  Something that his supporters should be thinking about as well.

  I just hope Trump does face some tough times in the future, financially especially, and

   I hope that there is evidence enough to show that he is not going to be allowed to

be a leader of any party in the future.

At least 30 active duty law enforcement officers took part in the attack. So much for law and order.
