spacepass338 Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 If you are living outside of Thailand and you have a property (condominium or house & lot), how do you normally pay your monthly amortization? Do you send it via remittance? or is there a payment facility like AsiaPay or something? Thank you!

So most wouldn't be paying them from outside Thailand. Otherwise, I imagine people would transfer funds to their Thai banks, that have online banking and payment facilities, direct debit etc. 1

Those who do work in Thailand -can probably obtain a mortgage-maybe. The banks generally have a bad time taking back the property when it is obvious that property owner has no intention of paying any more money. 1

The only property a foreigner can legally own in Thailand is a foreign quota condominium and the money needs to come from outside thailand for that purchase. The banks dont hand out mortgages for property you cant own. I think you will find Thais servicing a mortgage would be doing funds transfer, direct debit from a Thai account. Its servicing a loan not buying goods/services using a payment gateway. Payment gateways like alipay are, to a certain extent, the banks competition. I cant see any bank signing up to be a merchant (pay fees) with any payment gateway just so people can put money into the bank account, to pay their mortgage.

Do they have a payment gateway partner in order for their customers to pay their monthly amortization online and even overseas?
