Amazon for special IT stuff

Normally I buy my stuff with invade IT as i like them. However some stuff is not available in Thailand and in by invade IT.

 

I know im  not the average user as i use good quality and more expensive stuff. I have a GF and second multi screen PC on an other desk. As my GF due to her work has to work at home at times and like me is an accountant. She needs multiple screens too. Now what we did before was switching monitor cables and stuff. Only i remembered from my old days KVM switches. So at first i was looking for a 4 double dislplay switch. Impossible to find (Display port ones) I needed a display port one as my second computer with VR and good graphical card has more display port slots then HDMI slots. I need So double HDMI would not work. But i bought a 4k one but did not look good it was 30HZ. Problem with that was i still had an extra HDMI switch and the quality was good the in theory one button and the laptop would have 2 screens and one press back and the computer would have it was not working. 

 

Also i found that in Thailand it was hard to find any dual display port docking stations that were 4k and 60 HZ. In the end. After some looking and buying wrong stuff before i bought a good docking station on amazon. It was USB C 2 monitors at 4k and lan and USB. (lan is important as i have that computer next to my router and i like lan over wifi as all is one GB and i got cat6 or better cables.

 

So in future i will be looking at amazon. Also bought a new PCe USB 3 card (for my VR set its sometimes better to have a seperate card for USB VR). Was not to be found in Thailand only on amazon, not on lazada nowhere. So for special stuff i buy it now on amazon two weeks wait is not too bad.

 

Oh anyone looking to buy a KVM switch 1 monitor Displayport and or a docking station 2 display ports but not 4k and or an 1 display port USB 3 card make an offer. They are going out half price  as i got too many now.

 

Just a heads on for those that look for specific IT stuff of the better brands / quality / special things.

I've ordered stuff from Amazon without problems. You pay the possible customs duty up front and are refunded if the amount is over. Delivery charges to Thailand seem to be a lot more post-COVID, however.

 

You might check aliexpress if you haven't. Pretty slow delivery times nowadays, however, unless you want to pay more.

Yes the duty is calculated and actually i prefer to buy inside Thailand but some more expensive items are not available. You can have a usb pci e card for 20$ or 100$ quality is different (the 100$ one has a controller on each port) My occulus rift S is a bit frickly with usb and i hate going under my desk connecting and disconnecting and doing that a few times till it works. (mainboard is asus rog maximus X so not bad either. But VR and USB alsways a problem.

 

Got two computers and two VR sets both computers have problems the one more the other a bit less all about usb. This more expensive card was recomended. So that why amazon.

 

Same for the 4K docking station and the dual monitor 4k 60HZ display port switch.. not available in Thailand only USA (or maybe Europe but amazon is easy so that is where i bought it
