SURAT THANI (TNA) - A clouded leopard was recovering after being shot in the Khlong Phanom National Park in the southern province but it may be disabled for its swollen brain.

Piya Serirak, veterinarian at the Protected Areas Regional Office 4 in the province, said the leopard was shot in the back of its neck.

Naturally clouded leopards lived on trees. The shot leopard might fall and its head hit the ground.

They go in the forest and shoot the animals , rip off the orchids from the trees , they cut the big trees to sell the wood , even the land they grow on is not their's , they go fishing with nets on coral reefs , they get their food and income by exploiting their own environment , but they do not protect it !

Let's face it ... their lack of education and their greed will only accelerate the degradation of their own quality of life .

But they cannot understand this ... better go and cut down another part of the natural forest for another rubber plantation ...

One thai law says , that , if you cultivate a piece of land for 10 yrs , you can claim it as your own . ( only for thai people of course ) .

That law is outdated and needs to be changed .
