Summonses have been issued by the police for 12 members of the anti-establishment Ratsadon group for questioning over their alleged involvement in a violent protest in front of Thailand’s Supreme Court on the night of February 13th, during which 23 police were injured.

Pol Maj-Gen Piya Tawichai, deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said today (Sunday) that they arrested 11 protesters at the scene, after they defied police orders to disperse and allegedly threw bricks, giant firecrackers and “ping-pong” bombs at the police.

He said that police are also still in the process of gathering evidence to support legal action against the Ratsadon protesters who laid siege to the Nang Loeng police station on the night of February 13th, demanding the release of their fellow members who had been arrested in front of the court.
