Anyone get a job with COVID extension? Is it doable (legally)?

Not being able to change to a B visa, since borders are closed... for those on the COVID ext., what are our options for employment? Has anyone gotten a job on the COVID extension (with "extensions based on working," for example)?

To my understanding it would depend on whether the visa you  entered on or your previous reason for extension of stay allowed employment. If it diod then yes (assuming WP) otherwise no - the COVID extension does nto confer right to work to people who otherwise did nto have it.

 

Fir best reply please specify what your original visa type was and reason for last extension of stay (if any).

I'm on an ED visa, with up to 1 year of extensions. Will be getting the COVID extension, and want to start working in about a month or so. @Sheryl

For those with an initial visa (which the COVID extension is associated to) that is valid for working, I'm mostly wondering: have some (or even many) on the COVID extension successfully been able to make the changes and then start working?
