Transfer Tabien Bahn - where?

Featured Replies

I need to transfer my existing Tabien Bahn record in the book of the owner of current house into to the Tabien Bahn (blue book) owner of a new rented house. Think it's done at Sala Klang (municipality) but there are dozens of offices there. Searched the web in vain.

Does anybody know which one, which floor etc? If so, very grateful!

Never been in a Blue Book tabien baan.  Thought it was for Thais only.

Blue books (and yellow books)  are administered at the District or Sub District level. In Muang district it will be the  sub district where the house is located- Chang Phuak, Suthep or whatever, but outside Muang it will be the district - San Kampheng or Doi Saket etc.

I am not sure how you got to be in a Blue Book, which I thought was for Thai citizens only, with a separate yellow book for foreigners. Regardless, you will need the owner of the new property with you when you go to register.

The owners of those books have to do it and should know where.

If you are not Thai, how did you get your name into a Blue Book?

Ask your landlord or your neighbours, somebody should be able to remember where they did it. Or you could call the 1111 hotline, they should be able to provide this information.

Permanent residents also go into the blue book.

Yes.  Forgot about them.  Never knowingly met one but maybe have seen one, can't be sure.  Do you think there is more than a dozen live in CM?

Wrong?  I asked a question.  Try reading it again.

I personally know 3 so my bet is that there are more than a dozen in the CM area.
