Avatar background colour mismatch

With my avatar gone following the resurrection of the forum and recognising that the tech staff need to prioritise aspects that are essential to the smooth running of the forum I decided to upload my avatar again rather than wait for all members' avatars to be restored. Now I see that whereas the background colour of the image I uploaded is white (hex FFFFFF) as shown in the bottom part of the attachment, on my profile and in my posts it is a grey (hex FCFEFC), shown in the top part of the attachment. No real harm done but perhaps when everything else is done, this can be looked into by the techies.

Incidentally, the URL of the avatar uploaded previously to the Thaivisa server was

IMHO, the new whole layout is in need of some sprucing up as it looks as it looks dull and anemic...

Give it time, cosmetics are a low priority, lets get the functionality right first eh.
