If you apply for an e-Visa, do you ALSO have to apply for a COE?

Featured Replies

I just used the THAI E-VISA OFFICIAL WEBSITE to apply for a tourist visa. I will mail my passport to the Consulate in Los Angeles tomorrow.

If my visa is approved, do I also have to apply for the "Certificate of Entry"? If so, should I want until my passport is mailed back to me?

Thanks for your advice

You have to apply for the certificate of entry (COE). You do it online here.

Be sure you have a copy of your passport to upload to the website.

I'm assuming copy of passport WITH the visa in it, right?

You can apply without getting the visa. You would load the page with the visa on it later.

Of course you do. You upload visa (unless enterinh Visa Exempt), passport page and $100k Covid insurance. Once that is approved you upload flight and ASQ bookings.

Thanks for clarifying. I already have the flight and ASQ bookings. But not the visa yet. So I guess I wait until my passport comes back in the mail with the visa stamp, take a picture of that, then submit all the docs.
