Just wondering what people think are the typical and maximum water pressure that should be seen at a house.

My water supply comes from Phuket city. I also have a tank and pump for when the city water pressure is low or completely off.

And are there any regulations about the maximum pressure?

There is no regulation regarding pressure, but the maximum pressure is or should be based on what the pipework can tolerate, it also depends on single level or multi level building, somewhere between 30 / 40 psi should be sufficient.

30 - 40 psi? Definitely sufficient.  I thought this was a bit too much:

Incidentally, 30psi is (I think) about 21 meters water column, which is what you would get on the ground floor of a five floor shop-house with a tank on the roof.

Our pump is adjustable between 22 and 80 psi (1.5~5.5 bar) so your pressure is not out of the normal range for our pump, though the fixed pumps usually cut out at about 40psi
