Co-payment stimulus scheme has ended with ฿102bn spending in six months

Thailand’s Finance Ministry announced the end of the two phases of the populist co-payment scheme on March 31st, with total spending amounting to 102.065 billion baht, 52.2 billion by consumers and 49.8 billion borne by the taxpayer.

Phuket Airport reminds travellers ‘gophuget’ registration still required

PHUKET: Phuket International Airport has reminded travellers that they must still register their intended travel to Phuket through the gophuget.com web portal and have MorChana installed on their phone in order to be cleared to arrive on the island.

Transport minister to push for 2nd terminal at Suvarnabhumi airport

The Ministry of Transport has brushed aside a suggestion, by the Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand (ACT) based on a recommendation from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), that it should postpone plans to build a 42-billion baht second terminal for Suvarnabhumi international airport.

Chiang Mai found to be the world’s most polluted city

Chiang Mai has once again earned the unenviable tag as the world’s most polluted city.

 

According to air quality company IQ Air, Chiang Mai’s air quality index on Friday morning was 186 or ‘very unhealthy - and worse than any other city in the world.
