I think Mr Thaksin kept fire equipment up to date when he was around, or his cousins, could be wrong.

BTW, OYO Hotel Thakham locks people in the building. Like a jail or mental ward, the hotel clerk behind the window must push a button on her side to disengage the electric door lock. Once, I waited for 5 minutes because she was showing a guest to their room. Imagine the catastrophe waiting to happen there.
