Sour grapes indeed. Well done, not least for retaining a sense of humour in negotiating the bureaucracy.I'm sure you are a deservedly happy man.

That would be great news! I have not been contacted yet, though. Who shall I ask on Monday? SB or Lumlukka?

Does this batch include the batch that went to the MOI interview in Nonthaburi in August  2024? If you know.

tbings certainly have changed or maybe applicants location makes a difference. In my experience in bkk all the applicants had individual appointments to come to sb and get sworn in. This make sense there as the room is small.

Surely anyone who is supposed to take the Oath would be contacted by SB

It's not hearsay, my friend has been instructed to report on 11 Nov 2025 for taking oath, he was in the MOI Aug 24 interview.

How do you say "oath ceremony" again in Thai? I forgot and don't want to make up a word when I talk to my case officer tomorrow. Thanks.

Does anybody know if people that already had MOI interviews in 2023 in Chiang Mai or other provinces have made any movement.

Or just "Pithi Thawai" would convey the meaning

Thank you! - I just called, and I am not in the list yet. He confirmed that this round will start tomorrow, but I will have to wait for the next round.

Great news.

It's probably because they don't have enough space to cater to so many people inside their office.

You will be called soon, stand by.

Thank you too! I was also told to wait patiently. As I have frequent company business travel, I wonder what is the procedure if I am scheduled to travel on the particular day, especially as they give a very short notice. I don't want to rely solely on the SB case officer's advise, has anyone been in this situation? Or should I stop all travel and wait for the call? Can't afford to make a mistake after having traveled this far.

I was thinking the same. My decision is to cancel a business of I get the short-notice invitation for the oath. What happens when I'm on a 12-hour flight to Europe, I wonder. I won't receive the invitation, nor can I come back in time. I do have the feeling there is some room for improvement here...

I agree, too great a risk to take after coming to the last step.

I also had final interview in Chonburi in 2023 but my file is waiting for big meeting (internal) in which they will approve the application. But 2 years already they haven't done a single meeting due to short of budget according to the Lam lukka office. Currently they are doing files for 2564 for provincial applicants.

Thank you much appreciated that's very helpful.  I just checked again and my application was actually approved in March 2022.

So that's not too bad at least the people in Bangkok are moving, any movement is better after almost 3 years of nothing happening.

I am pretty sure that applicants would be more than happy to pitch in to get the budget going. 5555

Just for your info: I have just been told that I am not in this batch for the oath ceremony, I will be in the next batch. They don't know the timing yet.

The applicants being called are males married to Thai women, as you're PR holder, hence the delay . Not to worry

I had my MOI interview in Chiang Mai 2024 (July), and no movements other than a letter stating that I was approved as a result of that meeting and was recommended for citizenship, I got that about 2 months after the interview through SP. I called them up (I guess it was DOPA in Bangkok) about a week ago and they said that I am in the queue. So I guess the final review of my application is not officially done yet.

The hard part is over. All you need to do now is wait and you will get your citizenship.

I'm so grateful to the officer in Chiang Mai he has been very professional and transparent.

According to desertsky there's two years ahead that haven't been processed before your que. Hopefully that won't translate into two years of waiting.
