Certificate of Residence for DL from a consulate?

Is this still about getting a driver's license because all the answers sound so complicated. I did mine 6 weeks ago. Renewed my 5yr but cause I'd only come in on a tourist visa could only get 2yrs. Local city hall (Saiyok) for paperwork, 45 minute drive to kanchanaburi immigration, 15 minutes for paperwork, 5 minutes in hospital for check up, the 3 driving tests, 45 minute video, 20 minutes wait for photo and license. All done in a morning, really efficient.

    Why not try the local police station. That's where I got my first CoR. I just showed them where I was staying and he wrote a short note stating my name and address. DLT accepted this.

So you used an agent in CM to obtain a Residence Certificate?

I was not aware that was possible.

There's an agency across the road from Immigration (as of 2019 when I last visited), they can obtain RC and let you skip the queue for visa extension too. It's the best one in Chiang Mai IMO. But there are several agents in town that can obtain RC.

I got my COR at my Embassy.

Went to Bang Chak, showed them the document. All good;

Appointment mid June.

Just need to re-do Dr. certificate as this is only valid 1 month.
