UPS Battery Change (APC 1100)

Featured Replies

I need to replace my UPS Battery as UPS switches off after 5 mins. mains fail.

Do you have to buy a special battery or just the same capacity and profile from Lazada or Global House?

I used a video to find out how to open the case and the video shows 2 batteries, but mine has only one. Also the battery space will only allow 2 batteries if one is a smaller profile size. What's the story there?

If I knew APC was a Schneider company I wouldn't have bought it. Bet the A PC batteries are way overpriced.

So long as it's the same form factor and roughly the same capacity then any gel type battery will do the trick. The emergency light ones in the big box places will be just fine.

You may want to have a look at my thread on converting one of these to LiFePO4 cells.
