Vast majority of Thais see vaccine rollout fundamental to economic recovery

A Super Poll conducted last week showed that the vast majority of Thais - 98% - saw vaccines as the savior for the Thai economy.

 

Identical numbers called on the government to stop the spread of the virus, prioritize the economy and encourage the people to maintain their guard.

 

While critics have said that the rollout has been too slow so far, another 98% of those polled said that delivery of vaccine from the private sector must be hurried up.

Generally speaking the vaccines were seen as a white knight coming to the rescue of the country.

 

Some 1,408 people were asked their opinions from April 20 to 24th, reported Daily News.

Indeed correct.... but the first jabs for people from 18-59 will be starting in October.... so maybe end of next year things will be better

Cant see any major tourism happening now for at least the next 18 months. There is really no safe way to open the country until the majority are vaccinated. If the tourist areas are decimated and like ghost towns now. What will they be like in another 12 months time.

That is because most Thai people know their leaders are incompetent and not up to the job, they know their best chance of getting vaccinated is through the private sector and big business...
