We're sorry that this post has been delayed due to the mourning period and Songkran break. Here's a quick recap of what the team dealt with in the past weeks.

 

We provided 93 notarial services and dealt with 53 emergency cases. Most of these cases were bereaved families who required support from us and some were children who needed assistance from the Embassy and Thai Social Services. A care home in Pattaya which we have a partnership with kindly offered to provide accommodation for an elderly British national who currently has issues accessing her finances. She can stay there safely while we're helping her sort this out.

 

Apart from emergency and document services, the Embassy also continues to work with Thai government and local stakeholders to help prevent British nationals in Thailand from becoming more vulnerable through our prevention projects. Our work on Child Safeguarding and motorcycle safety has been published on UK in Thailand. Please check them out for more details.

 

Finally, following the new outbreak of Covid-19, the Embassy has again updated our Travel Advice page. Latest update was the information about new rules on mask wearing from 26 April. We encourage you to sign up to receive email alerts.
