16:9 Smartphone - any available in Thailand?

Featured Replies

My Huawei Mate 8 is (very sadly) coming to the end of it's useful life. ????

I hate skinny phones - they are <deleted>. Tried using a couple and the user experience, for me at least, is just rubbish compared to 16:9.

Has anybody found a phone here with 16:9 resolution? Not overly bothered about specs just want something that makes websites look half way reasonable on mobile and for video, which is mostly what I use the phone for nowadays.

Thanks in advance.

Will be mostly old models from 2017/2018. So none updated past Android 10. Most will be Android 9.

Any?

Isn't FullHD (1920*1080) still pretty standard for cheaper smartphones.

I have Samsung J7+, a couple of years old.

Screen is 7*12 cm, FullHD resolution.

What is the relation to the Android version?

Display and Android version are two independent features.

Age. Samsung J7+ is likely from 2017.

Looks like new phones with 16:9 are rare/hard to find.

Most seem to be ~19:9/20:9 ("smaller" compared to 16:9).

18:9 is the closest most get. You have to buy a phone from 2017/18, as I wrote before, to get 16:9

This marketing hype went unnoticed to me.

Just seen the pixel madness developing.

Silly high resolutions making no difference to the eye.
