CM IO insists on 30 day extension before taking Non-O application

Hello, 

CM IO told me to come back after their lunch break. 

 

But the officer at the tent insists that I first do a 30 day extension before applying for my Non-O even though my Non-O papers are complete. 

 

My visa exempt stamp says June 6th.

 

I am confused. 

 

Would anyone have any advice?

CM immigration want at least 21 days remaining on your visa exempt entry to do the non-o visa application.

Dependent upon how you count it you have less than 21 days now.

The rules state at least 15 days but CM immigration want 21 days remaining on your permit to stay.
