This morning I went to the Loei General Hospital, the government hospital in Loei province. 

I took along my Pink Thai ID card and Tambien Ban.  15 minutes later I had an appointment to be vaccinated with Astra Zeneca on June 10 at 9 am.

I would suggest to simply try your local government hospital.  Whatever the politicians say and do, at the end of the day it will be the doctors and nurses who decide where they put that jab.

Unfortunately not all government hospitals are doing this.

 

Some are, some aren't. Some still state "Thais only".

 

Not only does the central government fail to communicate clearly in the media, they do nto send clear and consistent messages down the line to the government staff and facilities.

 

Certainly people should try, or at least find out what their local hospital's policy is.

Also note he has a pink card so we don't know if that would have worked there with a passport.

I do have a pink Thai ID card and I am on the blue Tambien Ban as I have permanent residency. However, when I registered she first asked for my passport and only took my pink card as well when I offered it. I therefore suspect my passport would have been sufficient.

My amphora called the wife and told her just bring my YTB and PC and I would be put on the list for AZ, they wanted to get a count for ordering. AZ is only good for 30 days.
