Japanese Investors Interested in Smart Park Project

Featured Replies

BANGKOK, May 27 (TNA) – Japanese investors were interested in building renewable power plants in the Smart Park industrial estate project in Rayong province to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions, according to the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand.

IEAT governor Veeris Ammarapala said that the interest came from representatives of Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing Co and Toyota Motor (Thailand) Co during their online meeting supported by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

The companies were interested in investment in the Smart Park estate especially in the construction of the power plants that will consume alternative energy such as solar power plants and hydrogen-to-power plants.

I know the Japanese are very much into the development of hydrogen power as can be seen with the development of their hydrogen cars, but Thai's managing hydrogen - Frightening ..........!!!

They have to rely on outside interest as the necessary skill-set is non-existent in Thailand.

Yep, the German skill-set in particular is second to none, isn't it, as was so admirably demonstrated with the Hindenburg in 1937.
