Yes, would be an interesting thread. But just to set everyone's mind at rest organized, unincorporated territory of Guam is not in danger of capsizing. Still the greatest single question and answer moment in a congressional committee meeting ever. ????

Popular Post herfiehandbag Posted July 9, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 9, 2021 Well hello again. Having been refused registration three time now since registration for the vulnerable over 60 foreigners began on the 7th of June; today I was at my local hospital for my routine (three monthly) Diabetic Clinic check up. The nurse who looks after me asked if I had been vaccinated. I said no and explained that it had been refused as I was a foreigner, She was horrified and phoned up the appropriate department in the hospital, Yes they had AZ available, I was to wait and they would call me forward later that morning. An hour later "Nong Noodle" (she mispronounces "needle") came out - she was sorry (genuinely apologetic) but a Ministry of Public Health official had said no! So it is obviously the case that a definite political policy is being pursued by the government to not vaccinate foreigners, regardless of the (in my case) very specific clinical reasons advanced by the health professionals. I absolutely do not blame the hospitals. I am sure that if I contract Covid 19, they will treat me to the very best of their abilities, until some <deleted> in a paramilitary uniform comes along and says "You get out, you foreigner"! So much for all the assurances from the Prime Minister downwards. Filthy <deleted> liars the lot of them! 4 3 1

Fortean1 Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Sheryl, Any overall findings you can share with us? My neighbor Nigel made in May to get his first vaccine at Hua Hin Hospital on the 9th of July. I have yet to talk with him. On 16 and 22 June while getting ear treatment at HHH I asked about registering. They told my wife and I to use the Intervac web site. That I did not try. Sheryl Posted July 17, 2021 Author Posted July 17, 2021 US Citizens - urgent note (you have only till tomorrow to register)
Popular Post Sheryl Posted July 17, 2021 Author Popular Post Posted July 17, 2021 Updated tally: Foreigners report success in being vaccinated, with no issues (once registered) , in these locations: Bangkok Buriram Chiang Mai Chonburi Kalasin Mahasarrakham Nakhon PHANOM Nakorn Phatom Nonthaburi Pattaya Petchabon Phuket Pracheup Kiri Khan Prachinburi Rayong Samut Prakan Saraburi Sisaket Sri Racha Surin Ubon Ratchathani In addition, after an initial period where none-Thais were turned away, people are now reporting success in Suratthani/koh Samui The only province still reported to refuse to vaccinate non-Thais is Chiang Rai. One TV member did get vaccinated in CR, at Overbrook Hospital, having been registered via their condo management, but several others report being refused (might be worth specifically trying at Overbrook). This thread was initially started because there was a lack of clarity -- fueled both by unclear government statements and (as it turned out, completely false) assertions by many TV members -- as to whether foreigners with appointments through the Mor prom app would be vaccinated when they showed up. Basically except for CR, they were and by this point there aren't many people left with Mor Prom appointments. The big challenge now, CR excepted, is to get registered,. And that is not just a challenge for foreigners, most Thais also can't get registered yet. Registration is a moving target with opportunities opening up then closing very fast and new websites appearing and disappearing, some of them province specific. What I can say is: 1 - you need to act immediately whenever a means of registration is announced, the vaccine supply is still very limited and things fill up very, very, fast. Leaving it till tomorrow - or even for a few hours - will like as not mean you don't get in. v 2 - all of the various online sites get overloaded and act up, you have to try repeatedly. In my case it was 8 hours solid online, well over 50 attempts. before I got registered. It amazes me when people post that they tried once and gave up. You have to keep trying, over and over again. It will likely stay this way for months to come as demand is so great. 3 - Note special opportunities for Canadians and Americans (the latter closes tomorrow) to register and activities by the British Chamber of Commerce, in separate threads on this forum. 4 - If in Chiang Rai: (a) inform your Embassy if refused vaccination; the Embassies are in dialogue with the Thai government on the issue of vaccine access. (b) if applicable, ask your Condo management or employer to help (c) try registering direct with Overbrook Hospital 2 1

mark5335 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 3 minutes ago, bradiston said: Were you able to guesstimate how many shots were being given under the embassy scheme? I estimate there would have been about 300 foreigners being processed whilst I was there, so for the whole today perhaps less than a thousand. Of the other foreigners there it seemed the Japanese were processed before lunch and in the session immediately after lunch I noticed Australians and Canadians mostly. I reckon a cap of 200 per nationality (which mostly seems to comprise Quad/5 Eyes allies of Japan excl. UK) under this scheme. 2
