A Misleading C.D.C. Number

In truth, the share of transmission that has occurred outdoors seems to be below 1 percent and may be below 0.1 percent, multiple epidemiologists told me...

Saying that less than 10 percent of Covid transmission occurs outdoors is akin to saying that sharks attack fewer than 20,000 swimmers a year. (The actual worldwide number is around 150.) It’s both true and deceiving.

Closure of the National Parks makes very little sense.

Covid: Can you catch the virus outside?

Researchers say infections can happen outdoors, but the chances are massively reduced.

Fresh air disperses and dilutes the virus.

It also helps to evaporate the liquid droplets in which it is carried.

closing is not all about covid

Chiang Dao has been closing seasonally for many years, other parks also closing non covid related.

The birds, bees, trees, and streams are all brimming with Covid.  In addition, Covid infected tourists will decimate the trees and product CO2.

Ludicrous.  No explanation, just - "We're closing it!"

The perfect time to close that park would be the Hot Season when arsonists burning the forests down.  Close it during the burn season that way anyone caught in the park is an arsonist.

But no.  "We're closing it!"  No reason.  My guess is the next thing you'll hear is "Get your shot and we'll reopen it."
Everything is becoming a carrot on a stick.
