Looks like it is past its CELL-by-date

Are you sure it is fungi? I can't see a toilet!

Love these schemes that come after a night with the tarot card readers.

Don't believe the government has any money, they just borrowed 300 mil baht for covid.

No,the resorts would have to make it up on the other nights booked.

Can't see many international travelers coming, maybe americans,a lot came during WW2.

Lucky you to be fully vaccinated. Oh, and you do need a test by the way.

Entry and COVID-19 Screening Measure (Order Number 2920/2564)

All arrivals at all points of entry must be fully vaccinated (complete the vaccination series) or must have received at least one dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, or must have recovered from COVID-19 for no longer than 90 days, or must have tested negative for COVID-19 using an RT-PCR or a rapid antigen method within seven days of arriving (from previously within 72 hours of arriving).

Please explain why I need a PCR test to visit Phuket next week.

If you mean the hooker bars for western men I doubt they would be open as that wouldn't be a good idea covid wise.

And I don't real care about shopping.

I will let you know.

No, I don't mean the hooker bars for Western men.  You just jump to that conclusion about me or anyone questioning a reason to take up the offer of cheap hotel rooms?

I have my own condo in Rawai with a private beach. Not been able to go and stay in my own home there since the restrictions started.

I currently live in my house in CM. Used to split my time 50 / 50 between Phuket and Chiang Mai, and when we had guests we would take them for a holiday in Phuket and take them to see the various tourist attractions and and shows, island boat trips, snorkeling etc.

I don't see the point of going if most of the attractions are closed down and you can't get a drink of wine or something with your meal.  I like to go restaurants to eat in the evenings. My friends that live in Phuket say most are closed.

So if we went there, basically we would just be staying in the condo or walking around a ghost town?

The only good thing I could think of is that the beaches should be quiet. But then the beaches could also be closed?  Also the restrictions currently say I can't even go to visit friends for a meal or to socialise.

So for now I am staying in Chiang Mai.

I know three people who are interested in this. All are known, established sex tourists and will travel directly to (an empty and dead) Pattaya  after the 7 day restriction. Hardly the quality tourists they desire.

More importantly there is NO international standard for vaccine certification and some countries provide NOTHING. Very easy to forge or fake.

The whole idea is nonsense.

Sincerely

Cannot buy in the 7/11 either ?

To take back to your hotel room for a lonely party? Sure, no problem.

you wait, the only bars allowed to open and serve alcohol, will be in the tourist approved hotels. I hope I’m wrong on that, we’ll see

Well, have you been fully vaccinated or had one dose of the AZ vaccine? Or have you had Covid in the last 90 days?

That's right. It is called social distancing. It is one of the measures taken to stop the covid pandemic recommended by virologists.

It is very effective.

All true and correct.

IF the litter box concept shall work, THEY MUST allow entertainment business to open; otherwise just keep everything shut as it was until now. They are doing it with baby steps now,. and are still filling their nappies with stinky somtam poo. Massage shops may open, tour operators may open dive shops may open, etc. Comes July 1st and there's no beer on the table, they can forget about the entire plan and go back to square 1. Kids Clubs like Illuzion, etc. maybe have to wait until October. Greater BKK cocked it up big time, otherwise we would be furhter already. But this plan now is a #now or never show #. Too many things at stake. GDP in the gutter, millions of people outta jobs, homeless, suicides, education gone ( o there isn't any real one ). I would require a strong person with balls to fix it.

just tourists???

what about us pound shop expats?

can I pay for a full year in advance? 365 dollars?

will it have a pool and balcony?

room service?

A/C?

will the room be cleaned daily?

I don't think I'm asking too much for my dollar really, considering it IS in Phuket....

There will be lots of 'small print' associated with this offer.

T & C's apply!????

Can somebody point me to a hotel that offers $1 per night, I will fly there immediately.

Does this apply for those on 1 year visa and isn't considered 'tourist'?

Brilliant.  1 million room nights at an average 2,000/night costs the government 2 billion.  But wait, Phuket is going to make 40 billion so each of the 1 million room nights is going to generate 38,000 from the tourists.  Well heeled they are indeed.

$1 rooms, Thai Covid-19 variant, free, unlimited STD's free ????

Get onto Thaifriendly and invite some company over to join.

55555 punishable by deportation you realize. Social gatherings are strictly prohibited and the definition of social gathering is “farang and alcohol in close proximity”.

You can also forget the stereotype about people only drinking booze in restaurants because they're having a meal. In my later years in Thailand I would go out just to drink, no meals, no hookers, no one hassling me. If that meant just drinking in a restaurant, so be it.

Is a bar also a restaurant? is a restaurant also a bar? It's often a 'grey area' when saying which is which.

Can we extend the 1$ scheme to the service girls, too ?

Why don't you just get a free one like most normal people do?

Hundreds of thousands of cute single women in Thailand.
