So, basically, I was misled. This is not a "hot tattoo" thread. It is a "hot bum (but let's throw a tatt in there for good measure)" thread.

Having 3 tatts myself, I quite like them & was hoping to see some innovative or original designs. Naaah! Just (mainly) nubile girls with (mainly) temporary tatts.

BTW, this is my idea of a hot tattoo. Just look at the workmanship. Who gives a flying f@@@ whether it's on a male/female or whether they're good looking?

Yes it is - I have both upper arms and my chest area also. I have to keep it in one single piece because I promised my mum when she saw my first tattoo that I would never get more than one . The first time my wife saw my back she freaked out thinking it was a real dragon. It took her ages before she could put her hand on my back thinking the dragon would bite her

I will post up a couple more from my archives and also some of the work I did.

I am assuming that the one you posted is one of yours? Where was it done? Nice work.

Anyone thinking of getting their butt tattood, here are some tips:

1) Choose a design that is drawn into a circular shape that fits the background. Not many people have a bum flat like a piece of paper so what looks good drawn in 2D will rarely work on the rounded 3D shape. I chose a Big Ass Frog and the drawing was modified to fit onto my shape. Someone like AussieThaid could put an entire globe of the world on either butt cheek with room left over to site Atlantis

2) Pick an artist you know REALLY WELL - he is going to have his hand on your arse for several hours. The outline on mine took four hours of outline another 4 to do the colour and shading

3) It FRICKIN' hurts. Your bum is tender and unlike on a shoulder or upper arm the skin is soft so be aware

4) When it is healing it will drive you nuts, you can't sit comfotably, lie down on your back, and don't even consider riding the motor bike for more than a local ride

No, it's not mine. I don't have the guts to get one that large. Found it this morning on Google. Thought it was really fantastic, though. No, I have 2 small ones on my back & one circling my left ankle. All my original designs, but not nearly as elaborate as yours!

Agreen NR, some lovely tats in some of the pictures, but the majority are what my mum would call 'slag tags' I find the workmanship of a good tatoo fascinating, and only wish I had the guts to get a bigger one. But till then im just happy with my 3 very small very personal tatoos.

It is because the bones are so close to the surface of the skin. I have one that I would like to post but there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY it would pass the no pink bits rule. It is a genuine tattoo and must have hurt like murder to get done. Not sure why any girl (theres a hint) would want to do it but in this world it takes all kinds. PM me if you dare
