I need to do my Retirement extension at Jomtien soon and would like to know will they accept a bank letter from the day before. Also I'm reading from one member that he experienced a 15 minute wait outside shortly after lunch, before being allowed inside. In this extreme heat it would seem to be sensible to use the QueQ app if it's still working. Anybody have any up to date info on either topic please?

I tried that app.  They looked at it and then pointed to the back of the line.  Right....

Were they calling out the QueQ numbers when you went? Last time I went (90 day report) I used the app but didn't know what the numbers were that they were calling out. You had to listen very carefully. I think I missed mine, but they were calling out something like "number xxxxx go to desk number x" This was being announced outside not inside.

I showed it to them, they went "OK".  And pointed to the back of the line.  I tried to ask why and they just turned around and went back inside.  I tried to go in the exit door...showed them my appointment on the app.  No joy.

 

But this was 2 months ago.  Things might have changed.  I've also heard of them letting people in that "exit" door if you're only doing a 90 day report.  And then the next time, no joy.

Does anybody know for sure if bank letters are valid from the day before you apply for a retirement extension or are Jomtien Immi being pedantic about it being only valid on the date of application?

Update..I went yesterday morning at 10:45 after a visit to my bank. No queue at all but lots of people inside. I was seen at desk 8 almost immediately, and processed quickly. I enquired as to the validity of the bank letter and was told that a letter from 3 days earlier is ok. I didn't hear any QueQ numbers being called out.
