Popular Post vacajan
I presented myself to Charoen Sin's State Hospital, Sakon Nakhon, on June 7th. I was not registered in this hospital. There was a chance that I could get the vaccine, if there were enough vaccines. It was suggested to me to come back on Wednesday 9 June. One hour later I was called back that I could be vaccinated with the Astra Zenica. And so it happened! On September 27, 2021 I have to go back for the second time!
Popular Post Stevemercer
I got my first shot of AstraZeneca on Monday. I didn't register beforehand, but the Head Nurse in charge of the inoculation program at out local hospital is a friend of my wife and booked me in. My wife didn't register, but they had vaccine left over and included her. There were 2 other farang who hung around and got added to the program when it was evident there was spare vaccine.

timberpond
As my understanding, registrations is not open for foreigner below 60s and underlying health conditions. The news reporting tv shows vaccination center, but many were young people. So it's a different standard for local and foreigner?

It was like, things are a mess with the vaccination process because foreigners are confused and don't know where to go or what to do. And I was like, NO! There's chaos and confusion because you government types are a bunch of incompetent buffoons who don't know what you're doing from one day to the next, and can't manage to mount a working online vaccine registration system that actually works! THAT's why there's chaos and confusion.... Agreed. It’s similar to being “urged to register” as though foreigners are the laggards, when in actual fact for most foreigners, there is no process in place.

I mentioned this to my wife and she produced two bottles of this stuff her father had given her. This could be an alternative to the vaccines, though you should read up on this yourself. Not another quack cure. I get a couple of this kind of thing a day from my wife. That’s quite enough thank you without farang also pumping miracle cures.

TallGuyJohninBKK
Well, they're making slow progress with the website... The nationality and province drop down fields are now populating.... But the subdistrict fields are still blank, meaning you still can't proceed. PS - Even though they nominally are only allowing new registrations from Noon to 3 pm, it appears you can still go in and try to update an existing profile even after the 3 pm cutoff.... ben2talk
So basically, in order to avoid being confused, we must just ignora any fake news. This obviously includes all and any news coming from official sources and excludes many unapproved sources (especially those on the Ministries 'kill' list who laughably get their summons delivered through Facebook Messenger) whose stories are likely to contain at least a few grains of truth. Originally, I was going to wait until Moderna or J&J came in. Was prepared to do that. But last week the university I retired from, Mahidol, called me and said retirees were eligible for vaccination. Sinovac, in my mind, is better than nothing. I'll still get one of the others when they arrive in December or January. But having something between now and then was better than going entirely without. BTW, two Thai friends got AZ on Monday. FWIW, symptoms from the AZ seem to be lingering for them, slight sore throat, fever, tiredness, muscle ache. The Sinovac went down like a flu shot, less than 20 hours later, only soreness at the injection site and some tiredness. So, there you go. I got Sinovac. Don't regret it. A lot of us would accept Sinovac too if only we could register. My appointment is still 1 Jan 1970. That would make a good epitaph for my tombstone "He had a Thai Covid appointment for 1970". 4

From farmers up to doctors. I called a provincial covid hotline, how to register ? Answer: "Foreigner???? Oh, foreigner?? Foreigner? Uuuhhh... foreigner want to register for vaccine????" She promised to inquire and call back, obviously didn't. Would you call back an alien? This is a hierarchy-based society. You should know your place in this hierarchy.
