Electricity disconection.

Featured Replies

Anyone have any credible info regarding how long after the electricity bill due date the authorities will disconnect.

Private condo not rented apartment.

I heard they had relaxed the rules at the moment.

Any ideas????

Thanks.

Before Covid,  I heard it is about 1 to 2 months.

electricity disconnection in Phuket involves removing meter to Patong Electric HQ when taking next months meter reading, if previous bill unpaid , so you get 30 days to pay to prevent that......

you then have to settle up there in person before meter box return and reconnection....

experienced that once after my lady thought our building agent was paying the bill........

my above disconnection was pre- covid 2019 so assume thats the worst case during covid as they may have actually suspended all or most disconnections to provide govt covid utility financial relief

Same here in Pattaya, seen it ( before Covid ) ( Private owned Condo ) from some neighbors, after 2 months removal of counter. If you wish ( can ) to pay before that limit you have to pay at the PEA office. 7/11 or others doesn't work anymore.
