webfact
Pol Col Pahon Katekaew of the Region 4 police announced the arrest of three men and one woman and the seizure of 135 kilos of crystal meth worth 135 million baht. Naew Na reported that police became aware of drugs being moved in Songkhla province in the far south of Thailand. A Honda Jazz and a Toyota Vios were traced to a resort in the Khao Roop Chang sub-district. The police found the drugs in fertilizer sacks in a room at the resort but there were no suspects to arrest on June 8th. But soon on the same day Withoon, 23, and Akkrawin, 22, both from Chonburi were arrested nearby. Two other suspects - Phanupong, 32, from Samut Sakhon and Orawan, 24 from Bangkok - were intercepted in a minivan in Nakhon Sri Thammarat after they had fled to Hat Yai bus station and taken public transport north. They have all been charged with possessing and dealing in Class 1 drugs. The drugs were supplied by a person called "Boy" or "Tee" who paid the mules 300,000 baht to deliver them to Tak Bai in Naratiwas province on the border with Malaysia. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-06-11 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
trainman34014
If this stuff is really worth One Million Baht per Kilo then legalise it and Tax it; which would kill the value overnight !
ronaldo0
300,000 bht each or all together ? You would think if moving that kind of value then you would use decent vehicles and not a bunch of kids but smart dressed older people .

worgeordie
Who is Boy or Tee , that's who the Police should be looking for, 300,000 Thb to deliver, they must have thought it was easy money, they will have a long time to reflect on their actions, and will be a lot older when they get out.. regards Worgeordie

If that was applied to all the other drugs, it'd be a great idea, and would not only knock the bottom out of the criminal drugs market, but especially the ice market - which is a seriously unpleasant drug. Who'd want ice if you can get much better stuff with far more benign effects legally or otherwise. (And before the hang 'em all brigade let loose - see Portugal.) Criminalizing drugs is the worst social thing ever. Edited June 11, 2021 by BusyB

The bigwigs probably used the kids as a sop to the police, so they can get their once a month headline.
