BKK TO CNX - Do I need to self isolate or test before going?

Featured Replies

I am hoping to fly to Chiang Mai from BKK at the start of next month for a week. Just wondered if anyone has flown recently from BKK and what the procedure is. Do I need to have a covid test before flying or self isolate once I arrive? I have been searching everywhere but can't find any info on it. Anyone who has made the journey recently and could give me an idea of what to expect would be a great help!

No test just go.

When you arrive, they make you put that app on your phone and you are suppose to self quarantine 14 days at your home or hotel.  Of course, all this could change at any time.

I also have a 5 day break booked for Chiang Mai next month. Of course self quarantining for 14 days makes a nonsense of a short holiday.  I wonder if they will eventually copy Phuket and let in vaccinated domestic tourists without quarantine?

I can't even remember where I saw this, but snapped it earlier today to send to a mate I often go to Chiang Mai with.  Take it as unverified by me,  but you might want to dig a bit further.
