Funny Quip from the UK when discussing Thailand's economic plight.

Recommended Posts

Was speaking with a friend last night, he's never been to Thailand, anyway we were discussing Covid's impact on the country, for me I enjoy it, but can understand some peoples resentment as to how the economy is going, anyway, we got talking about boarded up restaurants and bars, with staff heading up north etc, when he quipped a brilliant line that had me chuckling for a while, so I thought i'd share it.

being ploughed.

Definition of plough: An implement or machine designed to move earth, snow, or other material by means of a strong blade.

Use your imagination and think in terms of metaphor...

I know what a plough is, but I don't get why the quip is so funny.

just add it to the list... you didn't get why a bargirl was not impressed w/roses and a romantic beach dinner... or why your wife didn't think picking fruit was a step up in life...

maybe just substitute ploughed with 'doing the doo wa diddy diddy dum did ee doo'

It's not terribly funny anyway...
