Correct, the sex industry has died and so have the inhabitants, nothing else to offer in Pattaya.

It's a load of nonsense (do you live in a bubble?) - pontificating about the sex industry. It had started a steep decline years ago, long before covid. It's about international tourists, of which there are none. Pattaya is dead for the same reason tourist resorts all over the planet are dead. It has plenty to offer - it's a great place to ride out covid.

Its actually Asean Now which covers more than just Thailand.

Let's hope certain parties temper their emotions via the use of logic, reason, and facts.

One thing is for sure, the longer covid goes on, the more chance there is that sex tourists will find a long term partner and become monogamous, then lost to Thailand forever.   ????

That is awful.... it is unbearably hot these days and having these people sit out of the hot sand, well what can one say.

Fortunately, it’s rainy season, so it’s not so hot when clouds cover the sun. A bigger problem is heavy rain.

When I posted that it was indeed very hot......rainy season or not.

We have seen a change.... but I was again hot last night as a power cut took out the AC for an hour.

Not to undermine the donations made but to think officials allowed it to get to this point where likely thousands bake on the beach for hours to receive a meal retailing for 30baht. Shameful in so many ways the Government handles this crisis. With no plan to purchase vaccines but instead waiting for free handouts from the United States and others insures more misery. A shout out to all who donated.

There was a long 3 person wide line yesterday afternoon. Very telling indeed.

Why isn't the Thai Government being benevolent? They are missing a golden opportunity to solidify and expand their base - a fact that should be obvious to any 2nd Year Social Science student

Their "base" certainly isn't the poor and hungry.
