I've received the news from a great friend that one of TV long standing members, Axel, passed away about three weeks ago.

Due to bad telephone line and language barrier, we still don't know a lot of details, except that he collasped in his home on Sunday night (May 6th - which was the day he was last online) and was brought to Bumrungrad hospital.

Axel was an intelligent, and valuable contributor to Thailand related forums.

My deepest condolences to his family.

RIP, Axel. You will be missed.

I remember Axel for his always helpful posts, precise and to the point. He is a great loss to ThaiVisa.

Requiescat in pace.

Please allow me to say some words in german.

Axel was here when I joined TV, one of the more frequent posters during that time.

I always saw him as a voice of reason you could count on for common sense and solid experience. His advice has helped many of us.

Rest in Peace, Axel, and my sincere condolences to your family.

Axel was a great lad - never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but he was a gem. I was shocked by this news and I hope he rests in peace. My condolences to his family and all that knew him. Very Sad News Indeed. :o

Axel and I joined about the same time and I always found him to be an informative poster with the best of manners, a real bonus to Thai Visa. He will be missed, I, for one, am very sorry to hear this news.

Condolences to his family.
