Pictures courtesy of Thai Rath A 22-wheel sand-laden lorry experienced a tyre blowout, leading to a multi-vehicle collision on Suksawat Road near the expressway exit, resulting in numerous injuries. At 8 p.m. on 11th July 2025, Lieutenant Narasak Wongpotha from Rat Burana Police Station responded to reports of a serious traffic incident involving multiple vehicles and numerous injuries. The crash occurred at a bus stop in front of Wat San on Suksawat Road, near Soi Suksawat 35, heading towards Phra Pradaeng. Upon investigation, the 22-wheel Isuzu lorry was found to have collided with a blue Route 21 E air-conditioned bus, pushing it into a parked personal car and then into a tree, which collapsed onto a parked Yamaha motorbike, causing significant damage. A white Toyota van was also impacted, displaying severe damage on its right side. According to driver Pitak Chaopadriw, he was waiting in the left lane with his daughter when the bus struck from behind. He mentioned that the lorry had brake failure while on the expressway, causing it to crash into various vehicles. Motorcyclist Sakda Ployngarm, also involved in the crash, recounted hearing a loud noise before seeing the chain reaction of accidents. Around 55 people sustained injuries, mostly minor. Authorities are currently investigating to gather evidence and consider further legal actions against those involved. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Thai Rath 2025-07-12 -
