Thailand's Labour Minister Suchart Chomklin has assured the press that the policies of Thai PM Prayuth Chan-ocha and his deputy DMP Prawit Wongsuwon do not discriminate against foreigners in any way.

The minister said that his system for the health and well being of foreign workers was efficient, up to date and can be adjusted to the demands of the pandemic.

He itemised to Thai Rath how this applied to migrant workers who he said were receiving assistance in all areas as was their right without discrimination.

Examples of this were in the hundreds of thousands of meals being delivered to those quarantined in camps in Bangkok and surrounding provinces.

One ready meal a day had been provided to workers in 520 camps in Bangkok comprising 750,000 meals so far and a further 500,000 meals had been delivered to 797 camps outside the capital.

As far as testing of migrant workers goes Suchart said that 38,140 migrant workers had been tested at the Thai/Japan - Din Daeng stadium and 46,451 had been vaccinated.

The minister said his ministry was working hard for the rights of all workers including migrants, especially their vaccine rights and this was the overall attitude of the whole government.

As long as they are cheap labor from Cambodia and Burma working in the factories of the ruling elite, they will take care they don't drop dead.

Can't see his fingers are crossed.

A picture taken later shows him displaying a "tented" mask.

And an even later picture showed him locking the door at the migrant worker camp because, human rights.

He'll be here all week. Longer probably.

One meal a Day !

It has been reported widely that this is not the case, and in fact it is One meal every 2 Days

Migrant workers are not being tested, and in fact the Health Workers have been barred from the Workers camps. ( read Prisons )

Add also "How Much Land Does a Man Need?" by Leo Tolstoy and maybe this place finally learns a lesson or two. ????

Yeah, that's what you lot say when you need something from them dirty foreigners. Otherwise, foreigners are blamed for almost anything and everything - including why you didn't have your no. 2 this morning. Out with it now - what do you all want this time?

His lips are moving but what's coming out is far from the truth, he must be a spin doctor.

Probably didn't even think of us. We are not as central to his life as he is to ours.

Would love to know what the ready meal is being delivered, 1 per day as they say...... possibly fish head and boiled rice. This is out right incorrect anyway as it is well evidenced only 1 meal per every 2 days is being delivered to the work camps.

I was going to write much the same thing, but add the word 'stinking'. Plus if what you write is actually true regarding two days, then they are treated even worse than criminals.
