Thailand is developing a 5G-powered intelligent medical information and full-service system and has recently announced the cooperation of five organisations that will work on the project.

These organisations include Mahidol University's Faculty of Engineering, the Medicine and Engineering Faculties of Naresuan University, the Permanent Secretary Office of the Ministry of Public Health, and BPO firm Chanwanich.

The project, titled "Thailand Health Data Space 5G", has been promoted under the R&D programme of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission.

ah heck.  They can rarely make anything that is robust and reliable and secure.  90 day reporting online for example.  This health thing will be hacked, personal information accessed by people or agencies improperly, etc.

But imagine the opportunities the activities to set it up will bring...

5G is a global wireless standard for mobile communication in other words it's a transport protocol, the same way as IEEE 802.11 is a set of protocols for wireless local area networks (WLAN) or IEEE 802.3 commonly known as Ethernet a set of protocols for wired networks.

In modern software engineering we don't consider transport protocols as integral part of IT systems. The commonly used n-tier design usually breaks down into  client–server architecture or into a presentation tier, a logic tier, and a data tier or in some cases into a view layer, an application layer,  a business layer, and a data access  layer etc. etc. Back in the 80s the transport protocol was part of the OSI model but this model never gained much popularity.

A 5G powered IT system is like a "road powered electric car" or a "railroad powered highspeed train" etc.

so, if I understood you correctly , we may get a super duper network, but the need for it and what data it will transport has not been defined yet ??
