Time synchronisation

Featured Replies

I bought a new PC a few months ago, the time was synced in the shop, but I've never been able to do it at home.  I've tried changing the time server and checking that the appropriate windows services are running ok.

This morning my 3BB service was down for a short period and I switched to my backup TOT service, and I was able to synchronise the time with no problems.

Anybody know if it's 3BB or the modem, that's blocking me?

From a previous thread:

Forward Rules > Port Trigger Configuration
New Rule
Trigger Protocol: TCP/UDP
Open Protocol: TCP/UDP
Start Trigger Port: 123
End Trigger Port: 123
Start Open Port: 123
End Open Port: 123
Apply

Here's the thread link but you can skip the first 2/3 of the discussion:

Thanks for the link to the previous thread, however it didn't work for me, but something changed my sync time.

17:55   Before changing the router setting, I checked the time of last sync "10:56:21" which was the time i managed to sync this morning.

I amended the router setting as indicated in the thread, and restarted the router.

When I went to the settings page to try to sync, the time shown for my last sync was 16:51:00

Trying to sync just produced the same "unable to sync" message.

In my case I should always be able to switch ISP servers when I want to sync the time, but it's still a PITA.
