People locked in their homes and no protests in the streets is the dream of any authoritarian government.

The more the people supinely accept, the more the governments prolong its domination based on a state of emergency.

Since the majority of the population prefers to lock at home in front of a TV screen and wait, the state of emergency, based on the pretext of health - but in reality political and ideological - is potentially endless.

Capitalists èlite pretend to save lives by taking life. What is the value and quality of a life deprived of sharing, conviviality, sociability, affection, physical contact, smiles and emotions?

Life is not trivial and materialistic biology, but a psycho-physical quintessence. This is the human being.

Ohhhh my ....surely you're not suggesting that a virus could be used to.....I mean....noooo.....that is just OUTRAGEOUS.....Never in a million years would I think such a thing.

Time for the men with guns to focus violence on the plebeians citizenry.  Never let a good crises go to waste when you can show the public who the boss really is!

In the meanwhile Swedes go about living like there is no pandemic.  Of course there will be those who will insist that Swedish bodies are filling the streets.  But they are not.  It's like (shhhhh) natural herd immunity.

You better say that to the demonstrants, without them the spending might not have been necessary...????

Totally agree, just read an article that they have just purchased a lot of weapons from the U. S including Anti tank missiles, the money should be used to purchase vaccine...

There is great dissatisfaction among the Thai population. I don't know anyone, apart from this Steven100, who has not been disappointed with the social, cultural and economic development of Thailand in recent years. Now clubs are quickly ordered for the police. It looks like the government is expecting unrest.

That is 19,000 baht per helmet!  Now they already have plenty of riot gear helmets, looking at the photo, so they only really need riot gas masks which can be bought for  270 baht each wholesale!  Someone is taking a nice backhander!!!!

Unbelievable what prices are paid per piece. A very good professional gas mask can cost 50 US dollars (1650 Baht) each when bought in bulk, and a helmet is not much expensiv either. But 19,000 baht a piece? Are there gold edges on it? It's unbelievable how with tax payers money is dealt here. Is anyone still checking that? Why doesn't a journalist ask about it? Would be nice, if at least the NACC would ask why such exorbitantly expensive gear must be bought.

Preparing for Sundays large scale protest and the fallout from finding out that more lies are being spread by the Government while those that post true news are being fined and forced to remove the posts made.  Wonder how that works for the international news reports.
