Thai Cabinet Approves Bt9.3 Billion to Procure 20 Million Doses of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

Thai PM sees signs of pandemic slowing with adherence to current restrictions

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday (Wednesday) that he is seeing signs that the COVID-19 spread in Thailand is slowing and the pandemic may reach its peak soon, if the current lockdown measures are strictly observed, with infections hopefully decreasing in September.

Thai opposition seeks to trim government spending substantially at budget bill debate

PPAO Moderna registrations to open next week

PHUKET: Registration for five prioritized groups of people to be vaccinated for COVID-19 with the Moderna vaccine will open in the coming week, with Moderna vaccinations starting in November, Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation (PPAO, or OrBorJor) President Rewat Areerob confirmed today (Aug 18).

Thailand to allow Russians vaccinated with Sputnik V to enter resorts, says embassy

BANGKOK, August 18. /TASS/. Thai authorities will allow Russian citizens who have a certificate showing vaccination with Sputnik V, to visit the country’s resorts as part of the eased entry regulation, the Russian embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand said in a statement on Wednesday.

China accepts longan exports from Thailand again

After a steep decline early this year, coronavirus cases are again on the rise due to the fast-spreading Delta variant. The surge has led to an increased demand for medical products, resulting in bigger quantities of used personal protective equipment (PPE) like surgical masks, face shields, and gloves as well as tissues and antigen test kits (ATKs) in the rubbish.
