The easy answer is, anyone who doesnt want to leave can stay where they are.

 

The article was about international flights from Thailand.

 

You mentioned Bangkok to Sydney flights and asked what was the point.

 

The point is that some Aussies want to get back to Australia, and this is extremely difficult.
