How do you know?..... Give us an example that left restaurants open that proved to be a great success story during Covid.

Other than the destruction of hundreds of millions of people's lives and businesses that is far more destructive than the virus?

Don't you think that we should get more data before we inject children that have a 99.999% chance of not having any problems with getting the virus and concentrate on getting the vulnerable people everywhere else vaccinated?

It is also silly to compare different vaccines to this one.  The childhood vaccines are lifetime immunity while these current COVID ones seem to show immunity for a few months before boosters are needed.  You can see "leaky" vs "perfect" vaccines described in this article.

I posted earlier the stats on the survival rate on age groups and you really don't have any need to worry if under 50.  Less so if you don't have any comorbitities.

Solution is simple, follow what we do for the flu vaccine.  Encourage elderly to get it and have it available for everyone else if you choose to.  This isn't a very profitable solution but it seems to work for the flu.

Considering that children spread pretty much any disease that they get in school, to their

parents siblings and others. Why does anyone think that children should not be getting a vaccine?

The children may be able to survive getting the COVID virus, but they certainly can spread it, especially to their grand parents.

I guess some posters here are only children and have not got any of their own. thats my logical conclusion, when I read some

of the posts on this forum.  I have seen may people around the world who were younger than 40 die from COVID, as well.

And one more time the COVID virus is not like a normal flu, although the normal flues can kill people, the COVID corona

virus certainly has proved that it kills lots of people. Just saying..

Geezer

You have a vaccine/health passport rolled out like France. Since kids cant be jabbed yet, maybe they would have to be left home. Police or City/Provincial health inspectors undertake spot checks,

Jail and restaurant closure for any owners who don't comply. For those customers who are caught eating without vaccination QR codes or hospital records on the spot fines!

In an ideal world, yes.  But this is Thailand and there will only be a few spot checks and they will be solely for the purpose of extorting money.

I am happy with 3 weeks, as as soon as I get second jab plus 2 weeks I will be off to work, first time in 18months. When checking your Id# check for 8 weeks between jabs for AZ, that is the new number.

Cheers

8 weeks between jabs for AZ?  You said that before and I asked you to provide a source for your information, because I cannot find one.  Can you oblige?

Yes Sir, the french people on J&J are considered fully vaccinated and have the green tag available on their phone. I know that while I'm french jabbed with J&J and and I got the Thai certificate ...so see you at the restaurant, I invite you for a beer.....

You might be able to go to a restaurant, but you can't yet have a beer, alcohol sales are still banned. 555

US CDC stats show death rates are very low for non elderly.  If the kids are the worry then something like this can be done:

Elderly people take their own precautions such as taking the vaccine, minimizing close contact with children, exercise/supplement/medication to boost immune system.  Everyone else, carry on.

Stating that you have seen people under 40 die from covid doesn't mean anything.  People over 80 have survived from covid, people died from vaccines, etc.  What matters is the overall statistic, not one data point from a large sample/population.

Filter by Age Group, Date, Death (Y/N).

I want my Daughter in school, (6 years old) . The chances of serious illness is rare.  My concern is health problems from all this social isolation.  She has no siblings and zero friends to play with.  I know it's wrong but I let her use her phone more than I should, her English vocabulary has improved significantly.

I'm with you and I have the same problem, with an 8 year old.  They really need to open the schools soon.  The online lessons are useless and necessitate her mother doing those in Thai and me doing those in English, as if we were teachers.  And it's costing me a fortune to get her one on one tuition for Thai and English in an attempt to make up for the loss of learning at school, not that I begrudge her that.

Apparently some are doing it differently. I have attached a scan of the paperwork I received after the first jab. Starts with a 6 and 13 characters long. All I can suggest is ask your vaccination centre.

Thanks for that.  Others have commented on this as well, some have the 13 digit number on their vaccination appointment forms, others do not.  Seems that different vaccination centres provide different information.  You're lucky, I'm not, guess I'll have to go to the local hospital and ask them.  Cheers.

But as we know, the virus test kits are "Made in China" and not reliable.

That means, with a 50% possibility of getting false test result, they are useless.

Someone sent me some tests from the UK NHS - their kits are also made in China !

I am sure you are not so uneducated as to know i was referring to covid.

Was there any proof at the time that kids needed Polio and MMR vaccines?

I never had the MMR vaccine as a kid, caught Rubella which was no big deal, and have never caught the others.
