Pray tell what they will do with a stockpile of 125 million doses of vaccine at the end of the year if as he has said before that the country will be 70% vaccinated by the end if the year.  Just what vaccines will be in the stockpile and will they all be given using the very new and still not officially approved intradermal injection method.

Happy to see the numbers of cases and total deaths are decreasing, but it would be nice to know how many were actually tested.

Unless I’m missing something, you can calculate the number of tests using the positivity rate.

Positive cases / positivity rate = tests

Today would be 76719 tests.

CFR now for Phuket is 0.71% which seems a little high considering the high vaccination rate, or perhaps another reason could be an under count in actual covid positive cases?

More details on yesterdays stats here

The news comes as the Ministry of Public Health has revealed that Thailand’s vaccine stockpile will top 125 million doses by the end of the year

you don't need stockpiles you need effective vaccines in arms, it serves no purpose sitting in a box doing nothing

Where did you come up with your positivity rate you used to calculate your tests given?  Did you just pull that 13% +/-  out of thin air or what?...

Thats a steady decline for the past few weeks, so good news.

I have no issues with the 9pm curfew, and even if bars were open, would be no big deal, just head out early if needing a good skinfull.

With the numbers falling, surely they can give something-Massage and spas to fully operate, booze with outdoor dining, for example, sort of like a controlled opening, see how that goes???

Jomtiem was busy this weekend, lots of Thais came to the beach, was good to see places busy, most were just boozing on the roadside/back of pick up trucks, as the would do normally.

what ?, let me throw this in there for you

when Thailand was testing 60k a day the positivity rate was about 25%

so based on that you can work out the number of tests not the other way round, they stopped reporting test numbers a while back I wonder why

Good to see that one dose of AZ is accepted. But I can't see many domestic tourists wanting to go through all this. Easier just to go to Hua Hin or Pattaya.

It serves many million purposes for the minister who cut the deal to purchase them all, especially if the deal was with the CCP.

He said the first shots now covered 44.45% of the population and 57.44% of the target groups.

Being that most countries are looking at or opening at around 70-80% fully vaccinated what is Thailand going to do. As of Sept. 22nd fully vaccinated was at 22.73%. Open in November with 70-80% fully vaccinated seems unlikely. Even at these rates experts are warning that caution must be taken.

I also noticed Chonburi stopped listing the number of tests carried out now too. They used to report contact and proactive numbers.
