Vaccination Proof for Dine In?

There was a lot in the news that starting on the 1st of October you would need proof of vaccination to dine in at dark red zone restaurants. There does not seem to be anything in the news about it now. Did this policy get thrown out and will not be in place starting tomorrow?

In a country which can’t effectively police itself properly without blanket bans (i.e. the Blanket booze ban etc) I suspect that the ‘vaccinated only’ dining in will be one of those ‘ideas’ quickly ignored as there will be no effective way of policing or controlling it.

I can’t imagine establishments which have been hurting for the past 18 months turning away paying customers.

I can’t imagine the police going into restaurants and checking each and ever diners documents to ensure they are vaccinated - in fact just imagining such is overwhelmingly extreme, draconian and over bearing.

As such.... I suspect the ‘vaccinated dining’ thing is a complete ’nothing’ unless an effective, uniform and clear App is put in place that everyone can use - The Mor Promp App is not that App, not yet and by the time it gets there this won’t really be an issue.
